Irwyn Ince

Irwyn Ince, Founder & Head Coach

Irwyn is the founder and head coach of the DC Kettlebell Club. He’s been a resident of the DMV for almost 30 years and has a variety of professional interests, all of which are geared toward helping people develop. In addition to being a fitness professional, he’s a pastor and a professor.

He launched the DC Kettlebell Club because of his desire to bring the versatile and scalable benefits of the kettlebell to people in the DMV and beyond at an affordable price. He’s a friendly and approachable coach who’ll push his clients to grow through training that is challenging and fun.

Irwyn is also a family man. He and his wife, Kim, have been married for 31 years, and have four children and two grandchildren.
Irwyn has level 2 fitness certifications with RKC and CrossFit, and is currently pursuing the OPEX Coaching Certificate Program.

Certifications

Hardstyle Kettlebell Certification (RKC II)

The hardstyle kettlebell certification is often considered the “Black Belt” of kettlebell training. Achieving this esteemed certification is no small feat—only 70% of candidates successfully meet its rigorous standards. Our HKC-certified coaches have passed stringent testing on a multitude of skills and strengths, solidifying their expertise in hardstyle kettlebell instruction.

CrossFit Level 2 Trainer

Our CrossFit Level 2 certified coaches possess an advanced understanding of the CrossFit methodology, program design, and effective implementation. This intermediate certification equips them to offer top-tier coaching, advancing their skills in guiding others through targeted movements and comprehensive workouts.
